What the position entails

In the role of support assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and stimulating environment where your passion, strengths, and skills will be encouraged and developed. You will be part of a team that shares your values and strives to make a difference every day.

The work involves, together with your colleagues, following the participants during their workday, where you, as a support assistant, provide support based on the participants' individual needs.

During the workday, you will both work in groups and independently with the participant.

The participants work on various tasks throughout the day, such as physical activities, creative projects, music, computer work, social activities, etc.

• You are flexible, responsible, and have good collaboration skills as you will work closely with other staff.
• You have a strong commitment to your task and a desire to develop our participants, yourself, and our daily operations together with us.

Qualifications:

• High school/post-secondary education that the employer deems adequate for the assignment.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and NPF.
• Training/experience from working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, visual impairments, and other disabilities.

Other meritorious qualifications:

• Previous work in daily activities.
• Experience with low-arousal approaches.
• Experience with alternative and augmentative communication.

A bit more about the work

• Working hours vary Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 16:30.
• Start date according to agreement.
• Interviews and hiring will be ongoing.
• We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Move & Walk is a leader in Sweden in Conductive Education; a pedagogical-based system developed for children, adolescents, and adults with neurological disabilities. We offer several different types of activities, all permeated by Conductive Education; adapted primary and secondary school, training (rehabilitation), administration of personal assistance, and daily activities.
